Parents Ask Us Most Often:

Is a base included?

A base is not included but any standard patio umbrella base will work. Most customers use a 22 - 30 lb base purchased from Walmart, Amazon or similar retailers if they do not already have one.

How long will it take before my player improves?

Progress is often seen almost immediately after just two or three sessions as players adjust to the ball movement and timing. Within a few weeks, most players show noticeable improvements in confidence, swing consistency, and overall hitting ability.

What if our child already uses a tee?

Tee work can still be part of practice, but the Home Run Trainer provides far more repetitions against a moving ball, which is critical for real game development. This helps accelerate timing, coordination, and swing mechanics much faster than a stationary tee alone.

Do we need a batting cage or a partner?

No. That’s one of the biggest advantages of the Home Run Trainer. Players can use it independently right at home — no nets, no chasing balls, and no partner required. Kids can even compete with each other to see who can hit the most balls in a row, making practice more fun and engaging.

The Fielder’s Dome Mat® is the perfect practice & warm up product for both baseball & softball infielders, catchers, outfielders & even pitchers.  It replaces the antiquated and time-consuming method coaches used with objects, which constantly needed to be put back in place, wasting valuable time.

Our Fielder’s Dome Mat® features TWO ROWS of strategically placed domes.  This patented design allows for more deflections and is the key to its effectiveness (one row is insufficient & allows way too many pass throughs).  The Fielder’s Dome Mat® is now widely used by many of the top infield instructors & coaches for both softball and baseball.  It is a perfect product for teams and practice facilities.

It measures 33.5” long, 14” wide, 2” high, is fully assembled and durably made.  The base material is thin so the balls will not be impeded on their rolls to the domes.  It was significantly field tested by professional players to ensure the proper design and allow some balls to pass through (roughly 30%) creating randomness.

It can be used by any level of player.  Getting younger players just starting out in the sports to use it, helps develop fundamental skill sets from hand-eye and agility, to reaction times, which are so critical to becoming an “every game starter”.   The mat only needs to be used on flat surfaces such as manicured natural turf, artificial turf, concrete, packed clay or wood surfaces (such as in gyms).  It can be used at home with parents or teammates and used with baseballs, softballs, Smush Balls, or Kore practice balls.

The roller should start 5 – 7 feet from the mat, on one knee, and roll balls with a low, close to the ground sweeping motion towards the domes. As the roller gets better, they can move farther out for more speed & greater deflections.  You can view all our videos on our social media channel or YouTube channel.
