Baseball Coach, Mentor and Expert in Player Development
Bobby Buchanan, collegiate coach, has been developing college athletes since 2015. After graduating with his bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Texas State, he has coached at numerous educational institutions, from Texas to North Dakota to Louisiana.
Bobby’s true calling is recruiting and mentoring young athletes to become their very best.
· At Louisiana, he helped lead the team to their best finish in conference standing—a better record than the previous 8 seasons.
· In Arlington, Texas, Buchanan helped the team defeat multiple top-25 schools, including schools in Arkansas, Texas and Oklahoma. He played an instrumental role in the development of the 2019 NCAA hits leader and he saw two of the outfields earn all-conference honors.
· At another school in Texas, he led numerous Division 1 athletes and helped lead the team to the Alliance National Championship.
· More recently, in 2023, his first year in the SEC, Buchanan helped the team reach the NCAA Division III regional. He also played a key role in developing one All-American, five NFCA All-Regional members, and nine All-American Southwest Conference honorees.
· Earlier this year, in 2024, he was a member of a team that reached the Austin Super Regional of the NCAA Tournament, and they won 44 games. His many responsibilities included player development, scouting opponents, analyzing team data.
· As you can see from his photo, he joined Ole Miss as an assistance coach, in July, 2024.

But his achievements are not confined to the practice field. In 2020, Bobby Buchanan founded the organization High & Inside, where he also serves as consultant and private softball instructor for player development and scouting. He also partners with SoftballCloud, Yakkertech, and S2Cognition. Through High & Inside, he has worked with four Women’s college world Series teams and numerous Super Regional programs.
Bobby's commitment to fostering a love for the game extends to players, parents, coaches, and trainers. He believes in creating a community that supports and uplifts each other, ensuring baseball remains a source of joy and inspiration.
