Tokyo 2021 Olympic Silver Medalist, Team USA Softball Former 1st Base | Reno, NV

Valerie is a highly decorated, retired pro softball player who won Silver at the 2021 Tokyo Summer Olympics with Team USA Softball. Among her other accomplishments, she is a 2x gold and 2x silver WBSC World Champion, 3x gold medalist in the Pan American Games, and 4x gold medalist in the World Cup of Softball. She was the 201 Pac-12 Player of the Year and a student-athlete at UC Berkeley, where she was inducted into the UC Berkeley Sports Hall of Fame in 2022. She currently resides in Nevada where she continues to train softball athletes as well as promote women in sports and has been a part of the Field Sports Training team since the beginning.

Starting Professional Baseball Catcher | New York, NY

Jose is an experienced professional baseball player and community service advocate. He began his professional career playing for the Texas Rangers as their starting catcher and now plays for the New York Yankees, where he was awarded both the Rawlings Gold Glove Award for AL Catcher and the Fielding Bible Award for Catcher in 2022. Jose has been an important part of the Field Sports Training Team, helping to refine and develop new training products as well as demonstrate applications for catchers. He is a proud San Antonio native and enjoys volunteering in his community in any way possible when he is not playing.

SEAN CUNNINGHAM

Associate Head Athletic Trainer, Palm Beach Atlantic University | 2003 World Series Champion + Head Athletic Trainer with the Miami Marlins | Palm Beach, FL

Sean is a tenured athletic trainer devoted to safe strength and conditioning as well as rehabilitation. He has worked on both the university and professional level, previously serving as the Head Athletic Trainer for the Miami Marlins for 14 years (where he earned his 2003 World Series ring) and the Strength & Conditioning Coordinator for the Montreal Expos. He has been published by the American Orthopedic Society twice and currently resides in south Florida. He’s been with the Field Sports Training team since its start, ensuring safe play and adaptations for rehabilitation.

Owner, Elite Infield University | Trainer, Boggs Baseball Academy | Atlanta, GA

Pete was born and raised in Harlem, NY and got his start in the Harlem Little League where he competed in the Little League World Series where his team placed 3rd in the US and 5th in the world. He trained at the NY Baseball Academy, won All State and All Region honors in high school, and earned a scholarship playing 3 years at NCAA Division II Chestnut Hill College in Pennsylvania. He also was selected as an All Star for the Collegiate Baseball League of NY. He has been coaching and training infielders in Atlanta, GA since 201 and loves incorporating the Fielder’s Dome Mat into his lessons.

With 4 decades of baseball experience, Duke’s knowledge is deeply rooted in all aspects of the game. Duke has played baseball both collegiately and professionally where he’s received numerous accolades and awards. Today, he dedicates his career to developing athletes both at Zoned Sports Academy in Bridgewater, NJ, the training facility he founded, and through books and videos with Dominate the Diamond®. His love of the game translates into his coaching philosophy and approach. Whether he’s teaching kids, parents or other coaches he’s inspiring, motivating, fun and humble. His positive coaching approach has been a great motivator for players, parents and his peers. Coach Duke has instilled his philosophy of teaching and sharing in the creation of Dominate the Diamond® Courses as well as videos all over social media. His goal is to help every baseball and softball player, coach, and parent get educated, motivated, and then dominate on and off the field.

Lou is a nationally recognized baseball trainer as well as a NCAA Division III assistant coach. He attended and played baseball at Fort Myers Junior College before playing seasons professionally with the Baltimore Orioles organization and two seasons of winter ball with the Liga de Beisbol Professional de Puerto Rico (LBPPR). He currently trains and coaches youth and college athletes in New Jersey, serves as a college talent evaluator, and is known as a fielding specialist.

A former professional baseball player, Coach Ray played 14 seasons in the Pittsburgh Pirates, Houston Astros, New York Mets and Long Island Ducks organizations of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball; where he was just named to the Silver Anniversary Team (recognizing the Top 25 players in league history). His passion and encouraging personality makes "Coach Ray All Day" one of the most sought after coaches in the northeast; where he specializes in hitting and infield training. Coach Ray is the founder of TIP YOUR CAP BASEBALL, a new baseball platform offering camps, clinics and tournaments; as well as co-founder of Double Major Baseball, a new travel organization out of New Jersey. Coach Ray is also a motivational speaker; having made presentations for sports teams, high schools, colleges and corporate companies.

Brendan is a dynamic award-winning physical education teacher in south Florida. Before beginning his 13-year teaching career, he was an All Conference infielder and student athlete at Wright State University, going on to play professionally in the Israel Baseball League and independent ball in Texas as a 2x All Star. He is well known in his community for bringing innovative activities to his students that foster not only an enjoyment of physical activity but an understanding of important physical, social, and emotional skills. Brendan became part of the Field Sports Training team helping to develop our physical education programming and sharing his love of teaching PE with
teachers across the nation.

Morgan is both an encouraging mentor and softball defensive trainer with 10+ years of experience. Her expertise stems from her time as a D-I WCWS Champion and Pac-10
Champion with the University of Washington, her time playing professionally in Switzerland and on the Filipino National Team, as well as her experience as a college coach at Loyola Marymount and UC Riverside. We proudly support her misson of elevating girl’s voices in sports and giving them the confidence, tools, and language to advocate for themselves in athletics.
